RTN Survivor
Picked up a small colony Saturday before last that was advertised as Walt Smith aquacultured. I generally don't buy colonies, but got one back in Dec. that has really done well and figured I could pull this one off. WRONG!!!
I slowly acclimated, but it started to RTN the next morning. I took it out, fragged a few branches to try to save it, and did a lugol's dip. Lost a few more branches, so I repeated the process several more times, and increased the flow to it. Very little polyp extension the whole time. The sloughing off of skin stopped last week, and it appears to be on the way back. I took a few pics of it in my prop tank, and I think it's gonna make it now. I don't have anything shaped like it, and it houses a commensual crab that is barely visable in one of the pics. http://home.att.net/~tennsquire/wsb/...ID-536368.html http://home.att.net/~tennsquire/wsb/...ID-536370.html |
