Trip to Oceans Floor

On Thursday, 13 December, medic29 and I are making a run for Oceans Floor in Lake in the Hills, IL which is north about 3 hours !
The business phone is 847.854.1200 ask for Dave !

The website is www.oceansfloor.net and when I talked to the owner, Dave Mokry, he said the site should be done with upgrades and up and running by Wednesday !!! Please check out the site and get in touch with medic29 via pm (he has more timely access than I do!) to let us know if you want us to pick up something for you.

He just got a livestock shipment in Tuesday so call and see what he has available that you might be interested in. I must admit he has never disappointed me when I have driven so far to buy from him.

Keep in mind if 'the club' makes a purchase over $100.00 (I believe that's the amount) Dave will wave the shipping costs if you want to order rather than have us pick it up !!!

He has another site which is www.ofacorals.com (also back up on Wednesday) @ 847.565.9911.....Check it out and/or give him a call about what you might be interested in !

I was up there a couple months ago when the facility was still "under construction." It is was an impressive site then...and I can only imagine how it looks today.

Also, Dave is a great guy...and his inventory...the few times that I have seen it...has been very impressive.

Should be a good trip...I am sure than nobody will leave empty handed. Have fun!

I'm originally from Dundee, but have been gone for twenty years. What is the aquarium hobby like back there? is it respectable, are there any great stores?

Shrimp is doing great. It took him a while before the others would accept him, but seems to be fine now. No zoas...

not sure i bought a bunch of stuff that day.... Dave took care of me! I think the zoo frags are like $15 bucks but they are good sized and have good coloring compared to many.
