what are YOU paying for...

GAS?? here in west central illinois, regular unleaded is up to $2.04/gal. glad i traded that big truck for a smaller one! if work was closer than a 40 mile round trip every day, i'd hitch up the old mare to a cart!

also just paid $1.40 for propane to fill up the tank to heat the house and cook.

the rich keep getting richer and, well, you know the drill. nina

Premium is 2.35 or so locally (upstate NY).

Luckily I'm in a contract with my oil company to supply fuel oil at $1.39 for the winter. I bet the price for new customers is much higher than that.

Right at about $2.00 for regular...60 mile round trip to work with the big truck bites...Trying to sell house to move closer to mine and wifes jobs...We do not worry to much about heat here in Florida...The tank pretty much will keep the room temp comfortable...

About 1.80 for cheapo, 1.90 mid, 2.00 premium.

Interesting thing is, if you think about it - with gas prices being so high, premium gas is a relative bargain.

IE: when it was 1.20,1.30,1.40 for gas, the upcharge for premium was 16.6%, now it's only 11.1%!!!

Heh - in Ireland last year, I was paying roughly the equivalent of twice that price.

What's everyone get for mileage? I just took the summer wheels/tires off my A4 and noticed an improvement - went from an average of 23.5 to 26.5 mpg. Quite the difference for 100+ miles/day of driving.

In Chicago Reg is about 2.19 in Naperville (suburb) 2.07 and in Dekalb ( far suburb - was out there for an NIU game) it was 1.97.
Filled up yesterday - reset my trip-o-meter to figure out mileage - should take too long - drive 80 miles a day.

I pay 2.22 for reg for the wifes truck and have to pay 2.43 for premium to run in mine. Luckly I get mine on a military base so it's cheaper than out in twon where it's 2.55 for premium. Down side is, about 10 MPG, up side is I have fun driving the 600 horse monster and I only live 10 miles from work. However, I get my new Harley in a few weeks at 45+ mpg so I'll be parking the truck for a while unless it rains or I need to haul something other than hauling a$$

And I thought it was bad here in Florida at $2.35 for premium. Man I don't know what I'd do if it was $2.48 . My car doesn't get too many miles per gallon.

oh yeah:
17 gallon tank * 2.35 = OMG

I would double check the owners manual, but I think your Focus would prefer 87. Most cars today are designed to run best on 87 with only the high end cars needing 92 or above. Obviously it's your choice, but you could save yourself twenty cents a gallon and probably have you engine run better over its lifetime.

I don't know what I pay, haven't filled up in 2 weeks. But it was 40 dollars that time. I drive about ten miles a day, so it takes awhile to go through a tank.
We traded in our 4 wheel drive Jeep for a 2 wheel drive Rodeo. We never used 4x in FL, so there was no need to pay for it through insurance and gas. Yes, we notice a difference.

agreed, any gas grade over the standard set in the owner's manual is a waste of money.

but hey, it is your money jango.

Just filled up this morning - at Arco (read: cheap gas) - $2.39.9 for 87....

90 miles a day gets old really quickly at this price...

Premium gas at the Exxon down the street is $2.77 but it's always 15 cents more than the Arco another block down. How I wish I could put regular 87 in my vehicles! Looking at hybrids for my next car!

$2.00 +/- $0.05 depending on were I go. Seems like the price here has been hovering around the $2.00 mark for some time. Suxs, but at least I am not having to pay California prices (Ouch!).
