Reef Sale, Part Two

Good morning,

Thanks to everyone who took the time to visit my reef sale, asked questions, and made purchases this week. I went through my web site tonight and added a number of items I found during the week .. and dropped the prices on many many items. I welcome you to take a look at what remains. I anticipate putting much of what remains on Ebay next week some time. Thanks everyone!

Larry How tall is the calcium reactor and what does it come with? Would you consider trade of non reef item for partial? Let me know at jenbry@cinci.rr.com

Just a note to all those who've been asking about the Nilsen ... it's been sold.

I have a lot of interest in the calcium reactor but no payment yet.

Just curious on the calcium reactor. Your price is fairly close to retail, or moreso depending on the upgrades. Can you tell me exactly what is included with the reactor? thanks

Hi Derek, thanks for your interest in the calcium reactor.

I've had so many people ask this very same question .. I'll give the details right here in the thread.

This is a reactor made by Andy Daiss of My Reef Creations. I asked him to put together a reactor that replicates the well known MTC reactor. In response, he upgraded his CR-6 model with with a larger pump (an Iwaki 20RLT) and we upgraded the flow meter to the better quality model (discussed here).

Cost breakdown

$315 CR-6
$145 Iwaki 20 RLT
$125 CO2 Regulator
$50 Dwyer flowmeter

$635 was my cost

This reactor is brand new .. never used. I'm currently looking for $550 plus actual shipping.

Got it. Didn't realize the regulator was included, that makes a difference.

Where in WI are you located... you have any live rock left?

Might be able to swing by if you are close enough! That is if you are in WI.

Trickyblue: sent you a PM. I'm in Milwaukee. I have a fellow reefer coming by at noon today for some rock. Assuming he doesn't buy the entire lot I'll have rock left.

deyoe757: Sent you a PM about the pumps.

Trickyblue: Not sure why my PM didn't get through but there's approximately 75 pounds of rock remaining. My current price is $2.75 a pound. I do have two people coming by this week to buy rock so there may not be much left. I'm located in Milwaukee. Thanks for your interest.

STATUS: All livestock and live rock is now sold. However, a number of books and smaller equipment still remain. You'll find the web site is up-to-date and inlcudes a few new items and now a section called PACKAGE DEALS. I've combined groupings of smaller items and slashed the prices.

FYI: I received three solid offers for the large tank yesterday and am working on a final deal.

NEED A HAND ...

I've been getting checks left and right and mailing products every day.

I got a "TravelersExpress MoneyGram" today from a gentleman for $53. The first name is Scott and I can't make out the last name.

Scott ... send me an email please (extra@wi.rr.com) I can't find our correspondance and am not sure what it is that you bought from me. I'm not seeing a $53 purchase anywhere .. did you round up? Just give me a yell so I can get whatever it is that you purchased out to you today. Thanks!

Everyone else .. a number of good items still remaing ... come by ... take a look ... make an offer ... thanks!

AHA ... Scott ... not to worry ... the reason I couldn't find you is I sent your books out before receiving your check ... lost track of who had paid or not and just sent out all of the packages I had here.

There is nothing I really want to buy, but i just wanted to make a comment.
This has got to be the best organized sale I have ever seen. It looks to me like you've sold 80% or more of your stuff (Can't believe nobody has scooped up the cheese grater yet ) And you have been dilligent at updating the site, reducing prices as needed, shipping quickly, etc. Everyone that is looking to sell off whole systems, or just a bunch of stuff, should take pointers from this guy.
It's been fun just watching stuff sell. Well done.
