Smile

Funny, I had a similar experience with mine.
I bought a Yellow & Purple Wrasse 6 months ago.
The first 2 days I thought he jumped out of the tank because I could not find him in the tank. But, when he was finally used to the tank he showed up more often. Nowadays, he swims happily in the tank. He wakes up very late in the day though. More like in the late afternoon. They are known to hide in the sand bed. Although, I still don't know really where mine sleeps. Hope yours is just hiding in the sand.

It can stay there a couple of days at least. You should see it out in a couple of days. I have one in a 55, had it a couple of years now.
