five C.loriculus?

A friend to me wants to have 5 C. Loriculus together i his new 203G
He asked me if it's possible and i said to him that i don't know. Is there anybody here who knows? Is it possible? I know people who has 2 together and there is no problems but 5 ?? interesting

its possible but the key is to have a male and the rest should be females

In this tank size it will be no problem. They life in harmem groups, But as Selim said, you have to sex them. Which is quite easy with Loriculus. If you have more than one male it will not work out.

If your flying also to BXL I can get you one male and four females - no big deal.

So, how do we sex them? I've heard that the best way is to choose one big and several small. The big one will turn out to be male. Is that correct?

This might work, but often you dont get small enough fish which are still females.

With expierence you can easy distinguish the males from the femals if you see enough fish to pick from. You can sex them by the shape of the fins

The suspense is killing me Peter!!!! So what is the difference in fin shapes between males and females? And demonstrative pictures would be great too!!!
