Two clown triggers?
I have a clown trigger baby in my 190G and now i wonder if it's possible to put one more clownbaby in the tank. Will they fight or will they accept each other.

It is hard to say but 99.9 percent of the time they will fight. It has always been my dream to have a tank devoted to 2 Clown Triggers but with their price here these days I think I will wait a little to try. I was able to keep 2 Queen Triggers together for over a year before I sold them due to their aggressiveness but they did fine. They had their little squabbles in beginnning but nothing major then they turned out to be good buddies. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.

It is about the same here. The babies (1") are generally 70, smalles are 89, med (3-5") 119, and Larges (5+) 179. Those are general figures. Not too bad but my parents just bought me a house in Ft Collins, I just bought myself a new Clydesdale horse, and I am in college. Needless to say, money is not much available these days . Someday I would like to try a pair though.

Depends. I've seen some nice mediums for only $50. Of course, the next day they upped the price to 70. Still, it seems cheaper overall.
And yes, I think 2 clowns would be too much.

The only time I've seen it successfully done long term it's been in huge tanks with mated pairs.

I kept a large and small clown in the same tank without too many problems as the little guy will give way to the bigguy. I've found that if you keep the same species in different sizes, the pecking order works out fine without the fighting of two fish of the same size. Your mileage may vary depending on the size of the tank.

You should not put them in the same tank. They will fight.

I do too Wolverine. Those are generally the cyanide caught juvies which almost always die. That is why I listed the more expensive ones as those ones are generally collected in a proper manner.
eljefe3- Your theory sounds like it may work....until they get adult. When they get adult they are the same size and size no longer matters. By then you better pray you have a pair .

Triggers can be iffy (especially clowns, queens, etc.).
IMO, though, I wouldn't put two clown triggers in the same tank just because of their beauty. I would only want one as the showpiece of the tank. But, hey, that's just my preference. |

The clown trigger that I currently have......I have had him for about 4-5 months, I think and he is doing fine.
