My 250g reef tank!

Hi all,

just to share a latest tank pic... wanted to find my old tank thread but the search function advises me to stop banging on the search button repeatedly... so here we go again...

The tank's about 10 months old...

Some pics I took under actinic...

What an amazing reef! It is very rarely that I see a tank of this caliber....great job. Please keep us informed. I would love to see some details on your tank husbandry, etc., whenever you have time.

We do not actually... in fact, most of the nice SPS goes to US and Japan...

As for the local stocks, we currently have competition from the Thai reefers who come to Singapore to buy corals to sell in Thailand... we do however benefit from their existence as the LFS brings in lots of shipments due to the Thais demand...

Thanks for the kind compliments!! It is in fact here in RC, that I get most of my motivation from!! A run through the past TOTM winners is enough to spur me to try to beautify my tank all the time...

There are simply too many great great tanks out there...

Check out the tanks here too, I feel so humbled everytime when I look at these tank pics :

Very cool, can you find one (or shoot one) of it running now though? I am very curious about how dry you skim, last time I asked (other thread) you said "I skim dry", but I am curious about how dry that is.

About how much skimate do you get a week?

Thanks,
Whiskey

Vanquish, I forgot to ask an important question (at least for me). In the previous thread you mentioned that you had been battleing macroalgea, yet I see absolutley none in your tank. My tank tank has been plagued with out breaks of various macroalgeas for the past 4 months or so, even with very aggressive skimming and use of Rowaphos phosphate remover...it seems as if it is never going away. I was hoping you could share how you were able to rid your tank of it.
