It's salt NOT gold. Lower the prices.

If they keep this up (i.e. raising the price and/or decreasing the content) I foresee this being the last straw on the camels back for some. As of late I've seen no one with any specials on salt.

Sign up for Petsmarts newsletter.
everynow and then they give free shipping (though I think they cancelled this on salt due to the weight) and dollar off codes.
I used to use it for a long time but my take has been only natural seawater for a year or so.

Ghandi is probably hanging out with Pope right now chatting about something more signifigant than making salt. Maybe we can try Sponge Bob.

Ok seriously, there is a salt concentrate, ProLine Super Salt Concentrate and it makes 400 gallons. But, you need to add sodium chloride by a local source. Now where on earth does one get sodium chloride?

I'm sure all of the reef vendors are reading this thread - while sitting in plush leather chairs in their 8 billion dollar mansions, looking out over their 138 acre estates - wondering if this will be the beginning of the end.

You know you can print off the on-line price of salt at petsmart.com, and most stores will honor that price. That is what I have been doing. $31.99 for a 160 gallon bucket of I/O

I have 30 years in FW...so you'll excuse me if I laugh? HAHAHAHA

Let's see, we buy $100 fish, $80 lightbulbs, pay $5 to 10/pound for freaking rocks! BUT, by golly the price of salt is just plain crazy???

How much per month for electricity? Oh man, thanks. I needed that.

8 Billion dollar estates!

But at least they were from the red sea, not the indo pacific - so hopefully they'll start eating soon instead of wasting away.

And the collector promised me that they were lovingly hand caught with a gentle net made from 8 billion dollars of the finest persian silk.

Heh, you guys can get it for $32 per 160 gallons and are complaining about the price of salt? The cheapest I've found it here is $40us for a 40 gallonish bag. That's why I use NSW. 50 gallons worth of water containers plus driving an hour round trip costs less.

Looks pretty brown. What did that cost? Also those are the funniest looking zoo's I have ever seen.

I don't know a ton about SPS, but that is what it looks like to me.

Pay around $50 for 160g I/O @ LFS. That is with a "Special Customer" discount of 15%. Guess I need to find a Petsmart locally or try the price matching.
