That sinking feeling ...
I have an abundance of brittle stars. They are making frags sink! What do you do to compensate? Just pick stuff up periodically and fill the holes in?

What are your frags located on ? Do you need that many brittle stars ?

I have an acan and a scoly on the sand that I am concerned about the most. I have some rics that were on a clam/oyster that a brittle went under, it sunk and then starved because I was dumb. They don't bother with the small frags. The stars are very happily reproducing in my tank and came with the rock. I never added one! I saw all these little half inch white things sticking out of the rock -- it's baby brittles! I bet I have more brittle stars per square inch of tank than anyone. Guess I could catch a few and sell them/give them away....

If they multiply too quickly, they can become a nuisance in your tank. I'd find something to eat them (like jedimike said), or start picking them out.
