anyone ever cut the teeth off of an aga rr overflow???
im getting an aga rr 90 gal. i would like to cut the teeth off of the overflow but was worried that it may make the water level lower than the black trim around the top. anyone ever done it? i would cover it with gutter guard to keep fish and snails out. thanks

I have done it on every AGA RR tank that I have setup for a reef tank. The water level does not change, unless you cut down the inner overflow. The inner piece is what controlls the water level, not the outer piece with the slots.

I chopped mine down as well, and it didn't effect the level one bit.

i also did it on my aga rr 90. my reason behind it is i wanted to put two dorsos in the one overflow and have my returns come over the back. worked like a charm for over a year with a mag 18 as the return pump. this setup was on a freshwater setup with a wetdry filter.
