You need to define hot I don't think you do but you will still need a chiller just in case you spike a day you will want ventilation in the garage to ge the hot air out though.

It gets hot. Average highs are around 88 but it breaks 100 on some days. I would plan on a chiller. You could run your lights at night and reduce the problem but I can't see how you will get by without a chiller.

It cools down at night year round but it gets hot in the day summer time. If you run the lights on a reverse schedule it will probably be a lot easier to control the temp. In winter time running them at night will also cut down on the heater usage as well.

That sound like a great idea The Grim Reefer. With my 3x1000w MH and 16 T-5 the water will get warm in a min

I know the summers are not bad compared to South Dakota or down here you get to 100 in the sun we get over 100s and it is in the shade with way too much humidity. but you would need a chiller any thing over the 90 is bad. That would be a good idea for the lights though and you would get to see more as we normally do not get home tell after 6 and it is a waste to have the lights on during the hottest time of the day even with the tank in the house.
