Pickling Lime - where to get local UCF AREA?

Does anyone know where I can pick up some pickling lime locally? I can't find any...

I am located in Avalon Park near UCF...I also work by Universal if you know of any over there...

Thanks!

Jeff

You probably won't find any more of the Ball's around... the company that manufactured Ball's Pickling Lime, Alltrista Foods, stopped making it in late 2004.

Look for Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime in the canning section of most stores; probably a very seasonal item though.

what we need to do is have someone that is centrally located buy a bunch of this stuff and just sell it the rest of the year to those that ask for it every 4 months or so!

since we have people here from titusville to deland to winter haven and haynes city, to st cloud....winter park is pretty central. It just seems to me that about once every 3-4 months someone posts up that they need some and then we go on the great lime hunt again!!!!

I found mine in Tampa at Super Wal Marts. You can also have a Publix or another local store special order a case of it or atleast that is what the manager of my Publix in Tampa offered to do. Or for that matter you can buy it online. Most places have it for $3.75 each per 16oz bottle if you buy 12 bottles.
