No, I really don't have anything in case the power goes out. It really should go on the top of the to do list before it's too late. Thanks for the reminder!! I will get something this week for sure.
We do move quickly with the thread. If for any reason you leave again, just pick up when you come back and join us!! But hopefully you won't have to leave again.
When are you planning on ordering?

Are you sure they're not cirolanids?
If you can get a better clearer picture....I'd ask in Dr. Ron's forum.

I'm pretty sure they're either some sort of copepod or amphipod as they have a striking resemblance to shrimp when you look at them closely. They also behave as described in the about saltwater web site.

Anyway, I bought me a piece of it, there were 2 rocks fused togethe,I put this in the tank (I hope this was not a mistake) I got out my magnifying glass and the flash ligt to check it out, The larger piece is sort of hollow and has lots of holes, and in this rock there was a Flame scallop, with the white thinys and red in the middle of the mouth, there was the Urchin? that still has not come out, a tinny little white star fih, that I havent seen but 1 time and there was a small peppermint shrimp, and also a big snailI took out and put in the sump, it didn't look like a good one. there is also a thing that looks kind of like a pinching bug that is too quick to see what it is, This was all on this one piece. How do you get anything done!!!!! lol I cant imagine a tank full of the wonderful rock!! But can you put the TBS in a main tank or do you need to do a seperate tank with just the TBS?
Lots of people mix their TBS with other type rock. The only thing is....if you're adding the TBS to an existing tank, you run the risk of a cycle and that can kill some of the existing life on the rock.
Landon added his TBS to an existing tank but only because his tank sprung a leak and he didn't really have much choice. He did okay with the part one but had a rougher time with part 2 and did loose some stuff.
Do you have a picture of this new rock? I'd really like to see it if you do. It sounds very interesting!!

I plan on getting something on the next trip to the LFS. It's now on the list with the salt.

You might luck out in July with the TBS and not have to wait a long time like everyone is waiting now!

I received part one of my 70 gallon TBS package on February 25th. It came in 5 boxes (2 sand, 3 rock) weighing in at 256 lbs.

Here's a full tank shot:

Here's a couple more recent close-ups:

This seems to be everyone's favorite rock...I need to post a more recent picture of it...it looks quite a bit different now.

Brand new full tank shot. I'm in need of a clean-up crew as you can see.

Here's a new picture of the rock. Lots more coralline algae!

Some hitch-hiking stars on a red sponge. They like to hang out in a group on this spot...I've seen as many as 3 stars there at one time.

My cycle finished up about 3 weeks ago. I sent TBS a PM this week to get on the wait list for part 2 but I haven't heard back from them yet.

These two each got a point. The only reason I'm gave it to them, is because I didn't know the species of either the coral or the starfish. BUT from now on, I am going to need species for full credit.

Ok,

I just saw something in my tank that gave me heebie jeebies (sp?) It was sort of "sluggish" in nature yet flat. Roughly 1 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch wide at it's widest as it was shaped like an oval. It must be nocturnal as my tank is now dark and I sw it on the top of the glass in the back of the tank. It had 2 tiny little black eyes barely visible.

I turned on the light to get a better look and must have freaked it out as it slid right down the glass and into the sand bed and disappeared.

Any ideas what it might have been? I'd like to get a picture of it the next time I see it(battery was dead this time). Also, it was sort of transparent except where it looked like it had a spine down the middle of it's back. really weird !

Chris
