Lifespan of a lightbulb.

Did my own little test beause of the brightness myth on old bulbs.

I've had three Aqualine bulbs for years on my reef and decided to swap them out for new ones. The Coralvue 10000K 250W replacements where all faulty and had to be returned for new ones. One bulb was replaced and two of the old ones where left for comparison.
The new bulb was noticable brighter, but that lasted only for a month and all three looked equal after that for around six months where the Coralvue bulb fell of its socket because of poor quality.
I just inseted another one and it looks brighhter than the 5 year old Aqualine bulbs right next to it, but in a month I'll bet they all look the same.

No I'll leave the scientific experiments to someone else.

The difference is obvious with a new bulb and the change a month later is too.
