Clowns Vs Open Brain?

I just started noticing my Osilaris clowns hosting in my large open brain. Is this bad..... Its been going on for a months now and the brain seems fine. I really don't want an anemone because of bad luck with others and could you actually get them to host somewhere else after the found a place they like?

Thanks

Daniel

I dont see that being a problem at all, since there is no damage to your coral why worry? My clown has a anemone, torch coral, occasionally my leather coral.

He just goes into whatever he wants to! lol
So I think they will host in whichever place feels more like "home"
But mine always goes back to the anemone in the end.

It doesn't matter where your Clownfish are. As long as they don't damage the coral, your coral is fine. Clownfish often take on serrogate hosts when there is no anemone (often corals but not limited to other animals). I don't suggest getting anemones for anyone anyway (I know you know this already, this is for everybody else).

I wonder if anyone could post on RC without taking shots at another member.. God What a glorious place this would be!

I stopped posting for about a year or so because I couldn't deal with all the bs on here. I realize everyone has their own opinion and that is what makes this place great. What doesn't make it great is when someone has to post at someone else's expense. And yes, I am assuming I was categorized in the "everybody else" portion of that last post.

An anemone hosting with a brain coral would only be bad if the clown started nipping at the coral which is HIGHLY unlikely (unless your clown likes to eat coral!! )

Seriously...you shouldnt worry about this but rather get some pics to show to us!!

Who knows...it may even be good for your coral...maybe keep some of the nippier fish away, if you happen to have some angels in the tank.

Good luck and dont worry about what people say on RC all the time.

Opinions are like buttholes...everyone has one.
