What pump for CSS220? Or new skimmer?

The pump on my CSS220 recently shorted out on me, taking part of my tank down with it.

I don't know what type of pump this is either - there is no ID on it. Does anyone know what pump this is, or maybe another pump I could/should substitute in its place?

Depending on price, it may be worth it to look at other HOB skimmers. So I may look at that route as well. This is for my non-RR 90g.

I replaced mine with a Gen-X GX2400 Needlewheel pump. Works much better but the skimmer still disappoints. For about $50 (ish) it's a worthwhile upgrade.

The pump that comes with it, is just a no brand Taiwanese made pump.

New skimmer.
