eradicating a coral?

Hope this is the right spot for this. I have "Giant Xenia" in my tank. It spreads all over the place and takes over real estate. I try to keep it in one area but it seems physical removal only makes it pop up in other places in the tank too. Is there a better way to remove (read kill) it in the areas I dont want it othere than snipping and scraping?

You could try to inject it with a strong solution of kalkwasser...
