I be along for the ride. Your already making nice progress, and I'm sure it will be nice when completed. For the record my wife would kill me if I spent $1324.33 on equipment, but I sure wish I could... *sigh*

Do you have any airflow through your canopy? It does not look like you do, you might have heat problems with that setup.

It does look very nice though.

Not exactly what I would use as my first post, but it gave me a giggle. Congrats on doing it your way Mr. Garrison, keep it up.

It's like a cool old mad scientist wanted to make a tank. I love the effort that is going into this tank. Can't wait to see it finished.

The reason I have so many back ups is I want to do very little maintaince. I travel for a living and I am not home much Monday thru Friday.
I also plan on installing auto feeders in the hood as well. This is the main reason I am building a canopy.
Also the filter system is made as compact as possible due to I have no room and I had the 30 gallon tank (old trickle filter) already.

Why not use plastic-coated metal chains? Thats what I used in my canopy and no problems.

I wish I found them at home depot. If I have a problem that is what I will look for.
Also here is an update of my t5's
I had to use 36" ones the 48" were to long. I hope that I do not have any problems because i will be over driving them. Also I expect to receive my protein skimmer and cooling fan this week so i will be ready to water test.
