It isn't a very good picture, but here is mine:

It started as 1 1/2 polyps about a month ago and now there are about 6 baby polyps on there as well.

I have no clue, the whole polyp is about the size of a dime. I can tell you where it came from, it grew out of some tonga branch live rock.

Never heard from Tonga, but never know. However, it doesn't really look like a micro at this point. Micros should be a little more beady and are not solitary. Need to see it closed up.

Keep it well fed and check for babies. If it's a micro, it'll grow quick.

Thats just a frag, but the colony it came from has about 8 polyps, its encrusting too.

Seeing how it flares up and since it's encrusting, there's a good chance it can be. It can also be a small acan. Actually, more likely a small acan than a micro.

Either way, nice find.

Gimme some time, I'm not a good camera person. It took me over 10 shots to get one that's not blurry.

I am getting this one probably 4/12... Once I get it I will take better pics

I cannot wait to see...

JenDub, could you give me a tip how to take pics like you... You probably have good camera but mine is not so bad... I could only take much good micro shots... I have minolta dimage 7i.... I was thinking about buying 2x or 3x Tele lens... is this what you use with your digital camera?

I know there is lots of trick depending on carmera for white ballance but my issue is I could not focus that close micro shot

Thanks

Chris

That pic is not that bad. Nice piece too by the way. I use a olympus digital d-540 with turbo zoom. I usually bring the piece real close to the surface and snap. When the piece is far away from the glass, the pic never turns out the way I want it to.

Keep the pics coming
