Can you install your RO/DI unit directly beneath your sink, but inside the basement?

That should cause you any troubles that I am aware of. That way you could still run your water feed and your waste line to the sink plumbing.

Sure your unit will be mounted high up the wall, but this should overcome the other problems I would imagine.

this is exactly what I'm thinking...It would only be a couple feet below that way.....i know i have the room, so it shouldn't be a problem
