Critters living inside a clam?

Hello. I have a T. squamosa for over a year now and it has been the latest edition. I was looking at it the other night and something in its syphon caught my eye so I really started to look into the syphon and found at least 2 crabs and a shrimp of some kind.

All these critters were just hanging around inside the clam and didn't seem to be doing anything other then just scurrying around. They are really small with no color to them but large enough to count legs and see their eyes.

I am just wondering if this is a normal hitchhiker in clams or if anyone else has ever noticed this. Thank you.

They're commensals. No problem.

Thank you for the response. I'm not concerned at all about any harm they may cause. I am actually just looking for any information on them or how common they are.

I know this is a first for me & I can't find any literature on this subject.
