These bits for drilling tank?

I'm looking to drill the back panel of a JBJ 12DX Nano Cube for a sump/fuge. I have never drilled a tank before, but have always heard starting the hole is the hardest part. These diamond hole saws have a diamond coated pilot bit, and I hope would make the job easier. Any input (or advice for that matter)?

Use water to cool it, if you have a regular hole saw use that to make a guide out of a piece of scrap 2x4, use plumbers putty to build a dam under it fill with water and start drilling, clamp the wood in place gently

Good Luck

Glad to hear someone has used these bits with success. Unfortunately the tank is full, so I'll have to be extra slow and careful, as i can't build a dam to hold cooling water.

maybe you can put a rubbermaid container below the tank to catch dripping and get someone to constantly spray the glass with a bottle of water while your're drilling... maybe that will help a little instead of using no water at all... Let us know how it goes, I'm about to try drilling my first tank soon..
