Do a search, this topic has been disucssed hundreds of times so you'll find some great information. However, they are perfectly harmless and great additions to any tank to help act as part of the clean-up-crew. There are, though, many different types of these warms some which are harmful and some which are wanted in our tanks, the harmful ones are very rare to find. Most people will get rid of Bristleworms that are relatively big (3-4+ inches), I leave them though.

hyposalinity dip your live rock

If you can take the rock out. You can either dip it in low salinity water or tap water if you dont have much coraline. I know I have some monsters that are 5 inchs long in my tank. I need to order some tongs to grab the fat ones while they are out feeding.

Get a 6 line wrasses. Don't try to hard to rid your tank of them. it's a waste of time. Everytime I buy a new piece of coral or anything with a rock attached to it has worm's inside of it. I've watched them eat and they don't seem to bother anything of great value. They are just part of another clean-up crew doing their thing.

Thanks for all the great info! I did actually pick up an arrow crab yesterday, mostly because I've always wanted one and the bristle worms just gave me a reason to get one. But also like pretty much everyone else said they also act as a good clean up crew. Thanks for the help!

I actually purchased extra when I added my LSB. Like the others said most bristle worms are harmless.
