10D, Rebel, or 20D?

Well, I'm back in the market for a new digital slr.

Someone is selling a 10D body locally for $550, and then there are rebates being offered on the Rebel and the 20D. The rebates are up on 1/15/06.

What would you suggest I get? I already have lenses so that is a non-issue.

If you already have the lenses and you're sold on the system, go to a local store and hold them all. Bring a CF card with you and snap some pics, see which one you like.

Doug's suggestion is good. Many guys find the 350D's grip too small, but that's up to you to decide.

I personally find the 10D's grip to be sub-optimal when handling heavy lens for prolonged periods, but that's me. I would also like the jog dial at the back for aperture setting.

I still have my Canon 1V (I still have no plans on getting rid of it), and I would ideally like to match the weight and feel of the pro slr.

Even the 20D won't match the feel of the pro range, the 1-series DSLR is the only ones that can.

The grip of the 20D is even slightly worse than the 10D since it's slightly smaller.

The 20D fits my hand like a glove; vertically or horizontally. I bought a Rebel XT for my wife and even though I had a Rebel before, I feel it is a little too small for my hands.

That doesn't mean that you won't get great shots from any of those listed. I have seen some outstanding photos from a 10D.

Match one of those up with a 100mm macro and you're set!
