green bubble algae & Aptasia issues
Anyone have any suggestions to stop/slowdown the invasion of green bubble algae that is beginning to appear all over my 75 gall reef tank? Tank is established for well over a year and all types of corals are thriving. Bubble algae though is appearing on all exposed areas of live rock (higher areas) and I'm beginning to see it in lower spots. I was planning on removing some of the pieces of large rock to clean them yet some have corals already attached to them.
Aptasia is also running rampant too. I've been using a syringe filled with Kent Tech A (used Tech B also used Aptasia removal remedies to no avail). Between the bubble algae and aptasia, the tank is not looking as nice as it had been. I change water every 2-3 weeks and all levels are good and consistent: Ca - 440; Alk - 3.3; Mg - 1390; pH - 8.1 water temp - 75.8 and specific gravity - 1.024 I appreciate the help in advance! |
