Unlimited Aussies Acans?

WOW, we have seen a lot of shipments come through lately and they just keep on coming...

What a nice selection of corals.

There are some crazy morphs on the Aquariumpros site. I wonder if its going to stop? Also, why does it seem like all the nice ones come through Canada?

They seem to have found a exporter in Australia that is hooking them up with some very nice corals. I am guessing that as long as the prices don't drop below what they get for the same corals in Australia they will continue to sell them over seas.

Those are some amazing corals. Looks like for my next purchase I might have to take the Acan plunge.

Fliger, I think they ship them to Canada first in order to avoid issues with US customs.

Interesting. So then its OK for Canada to ship them here. Aquarium Pros sends to a lot of places I buy from, I don't mind giving them my business but I sure wish I could jump the line.

Kind of OT - two observations so far with Aussie Acans - they grow much faster than Japanese ones, and do amazing under high light. I really should separate my Japanese Acans from my Aussie ones - the Japanese aren't as happy as they used to be under lower light (running 400W).

I still think the old school Japanese/Non-Indo stuff is nicer - but they grow slower, polyps are smaller and they get kind of lost in a large tank. The Aussie stuff really looks great in a larger tank.

I asked aquariums pro site, about shipping corals to the US direct, than going threw on line stores.Yes they will ,but a little chump change here of $2,000 grand a min order......

Best deal there would be as group buy. That's if you can get some high rollers,to put money in the kitty.Even at that price you might be lucky to get 1 colony.

I want to know when the prices are going to drop because eventually these things will saturate and get propagated in peoples tanks.

Then i'll be ready to buy ;p well, until i can get out of college lol

Its sooo hard for me to hold back, being the acan/micro addict I am. But I've done well. I've only bought one aussie acan, and its one of the nicest I've seen in person.

What I can't tell is the difference from aussie micros and acans. The micros don't seem any smaller......

Most of these are sold to the US soon as photos are available.

So what would you think they were selling for here? Colonies were generally 25-30 polyps.

Holy crap. I've been checking thecaptivereef EVERY day. I was actually just on yesterday a few times and didn't see those. I would have probaby bought 1 through 5, maybe its a good think I didn't see them. I have some of those rainbows - but only frags. Those were awesome, and actually very well priced.
