Pull my finger

Take a peek at Skip's finger. He tried to wrestle with a bristleworm and lost.

This is a horrible picture taken with my camera phone.

I'll go barehanded in the tank with lights on because those things don't come out much, and I can see them. If lights are out though....I don the gloves. I've got a couple big ones, and I don't want to meet those

Poor poor Skip, got his finger all hurt. I wonder if he will make an appearance or if he will be too embarrassed.

He was all very nice about letting me take a picture and everything. It is always fun to be able to poke at our friends.

Hope it feels better.

OMG, I have been NAILED by BWs but never that bad. Crap that hurts just to look at. I learned that my BWs love my Ochtodes macro and when I fraged it the first time it I end up with millions of bristles in my finger for a week. NOT fun.

It aint that bad, a little irritation for a day or two thats it. The main thing to do is remove all the spines, try to blot the area dry and use some tape to remove the bristles from your skin. Sometimes I cover the area with superglue and peel it off, removing the spines along with it.

Worst shot I ever took from a bristleworm caught me on the thumb and I had bristles in 2 neat rows for about an inch straight. Now that was fun, took me 3 days to get all the spines out.
