ohh had a funny pict opt today

me and a friend lifting a 15000 btu ac unit into my attic. using a home made pully. ( worked great. ac unit swung all over the place... problom came up when i got it up and hit the top of the pully and had to clip the ac units hoist to the rope holding up the pully so i could remove the pully and lift it by hand! GOD!!!!!)
anyways was just two of us and.. yeah no camera at hand

anyways ac unit dosnt fit up there right so im coming up with somthing

as promised

ahh look at that temp and humidity!

the vent system for the ac unit.. it consist of two boxes in the attic ont he front of the ac unit one big and one inside of that one that is small.. the inside box connects tot he intake the bigger box directs the output around the input and back into the room

even with the boxes i still needed to add foam to prevent cold air from being sucked back in and giving false temp readings

shots of the ac and the box

MY diy kalk reactor ( glue small tube to the top center hole and fill with kalk and run water throu int he direction opposite of what your supposed to.. works great cost was 15 bucks

My returns on my vats. each one roatates and puts out a decent amount of flow ( 3 hooked to a mag 9.5)

tank that will be setup in the near future ( free from work)

after i clear all this stuff otu

and my gf .. hmm maybe i can talk her into making frag plugs.... ill tell her its fun muahahahhaa

LETS SEE IF THIS MAKES SENSE!

ok
i plan to have liverock vats for aquacultuing rock in until i build the false floor and put a tank under that ( able to hold several thosand pounds)

ill make a food station for green water and other things and the two former liverock vats will be used most likely for soft coral

for some reason my one breaker keps blowing with the ac on it ( randomly.. like once every few days)

its a 12 amp ac unit and says to use atleast a 15 amp breaker

well...
something else MUST be on this line! i just need to find it only things i know of on this line are.. a 13 watt bulb. and two little leds on a gfci

dosnt matter much. im going to put an alarm on the breaker so it makes a lot fo noise if it trips

Leave it off and go all around the house with a trouble light or a radio to check the outlets

The AC unit itself could trip the 15A breaker if there was a voltage dip, or it was really hot (more head pressure on the compressor).

Also, how far away from the panel is the AC? I have an air compressor that will only work on my outlet in the garage that is backed up to the panel. All the other outlets are 40 or more feet away and it trips the breaker.

You may have to rewire it with #10.

if i need to rewire ill just throw it on the 20 amp circuit i have running next to it and move the junk on that line to the 15 amp line ( literaly could do it in minutes)

There you go. Just make sure its #12 wire. #14 is only rated for 15A.

... well... i just took apart my return loop to clean the return.. OMG what happened was so cool. the water shoots out of hte tank about 4 inches ( in a very difused manner due to the wide pvc opening at the bottom of the tank and after about 10 seconds i have nice sized resonating waves ( in one corner the water almost reaches the top of the tnak at times.. everything in the tnak is surging.. if it wasnt for my mechanical auto top off id leave it this way since the flow is amazing and so random ( up down and every other direction in every part of the 140 gallont tank off of 1 mag 9.5.

any ways.. back to cleaning.. i have one zoa in the soft coral tank now as well btw

dropped the salinity from 1.029 ( opps) to 1.022 ( was aiming for 1.024 - 25 but accidentl tok out too much water... what ever im not that big on chemistry but it seems to me that the lower the salinity the more mag ca and alk the water should be able to hold right? i knowim wrong but lowering salinity seemed to of had a positive effect on ALK nad CA ( alk is now 7-10 ) when it was 5 for a long time

decided i can wait on new DI since i run a kalk reacotor and the flow is slow in it it should be precipitating MOST of the bad stuff that the ro left behind

needed to move this( one of my old hobbys. in my old house i had one that ran around my backyard lol) to make room for the new tank

building the tank

kinda like the size of this!!!
wish this was going to be used for frags as it is huge with a shallow area ( so i could run this thing off of 2 or 3 powerheads!)

but nope at least for now this is for Liverock
