Purple Anthias eat Arcti-pods!

Well it's been 26 days since I bought the 6 purple tuka anthias from Exotic Tropicals. They never really ate anything, I tried all my different foods, enhanced with selcon, garlic, immunovit, everything.
They are a very shy fish.
Tonight 2 of them seemed interested in the Reef Nutrition Arcti-pods I got at Exotic Tropicals.
The male was eating them everytime I put more in the tank! Never spit any of them back out, I am very happy. All my internet research said they will waste away and never eat!
Thanks to Reef Nutrition I may actually get to enjoy these fish for a while!
Just wanted to share that with people needing to feed finicky new fish, try it and eventually they may eat!
Chris

I will, I have to knock on wood here but it's pretty exciting to me to see them eat!
I have 5 bartletts and 5 squampinnis and they all eat like pigs but these purples are a different type of anthias for sure.
I will report back here as I see more eat and try to get a picture of them, the purple is so bright it makes my Bart's look pretty average.

bartletts may be too aggressive for your purple anthias and may be the cause of keeping them scared. what other fish do you have?

Well the Bartletts are fairly aggressive I'll agree with you on that one for sure.
They don't seem to bother the tukas that bad from what i have observed. They are going to have to deal with it, I don't want to remove the Bart's.
Other fish? Well there are almost 80 others in the tank, tangs, firefish, sifters, hawks, tons of wrasse's, large school of green chromis, you name it. Here let me post a pic of a few of them.

Kind of an older pic from this summer but this is their home.

beautiful tank!

I have gotten the 1 and only tuka i received from the marshalls to eat. He came in rough so i was surprised it turned around. Live brine and baby ghost shrimp. I sold it later and dont know if it is still alive or not.

any close ups of them? they are a sweet anthias! I wish they did better

You can't see the Tukas in the picture because I haven't submitted a pic with them out. I am sure they are Tukas a.k.a. Purple Anthias. The males have a yellow throat and the females a yellow stripe on the back continuing to the caudal fin, I have ID'ed them with pics to be sure what they are.
The ones you see in the photo are Squampinnis and bartletts only.

ok well I have not had the camera out when I have seen them.
The 1 male is getting bold, he's up in the current swimming a lot and i can see 3 other shy ones in the cave.
I promise I'll get some pix up but for now here they are in acclimation last month when I bought them. You can easily see the large male.
They started eating 1st on Arcti-pods from www.reefnutrition.com
Now I have actually seen the male eat that zooplankton stuff in the jar as well.
