3 250 Watt XM 10K and 2 6 ft. vho actinics on my 180. I am in the process of upgrading reflectors. I had 3 "spider light" types of reflectors. I have replaced the center light with a LumenBright Mini. The light seems too focused and not broadly dispersed. I am getting a Lumenarc mini soon, and hopefully this will be better than the LumenBright, so I will most likely end up with one LumenBright and two Lumenarc minis. All of the above are single ended btw.

Hope this helps.

Over my 270 there are three 250 MH in Luminarcs and 4X96w PC over the back section of the tank. Over the 135 are two 250 MH in spyder reflectors. What you use depends on the depth and width of the tank, not just length.

BTW, if you have two center braces for your 6ft tank then don't go with two reflectors you'll have a terrible shadow in your tank. I tried it then had to buy another L3 since it was so annoying to look at. If you do go the route of L3s get minis instead if your depth is not too much, it'll give you more room for supplementation.

This is my tank with the large L3s and some T5s.

I use 3-lumen max 3 pendants on 250w blue wave HQI ballast. Currently running Ushio 14k, but probably going back to phoenix soon.

If I was going to buy now Id probably consider 2-3ft ATI t5 fixtures, or 400w single ends in lumenarcs on HQI ballast with radiums

8 x 39W OD T5s (icecaps) + 2 x 6' VHO actinincs (in a canopy.) Pretty good SPS growth so far. My RBTA has split 3 times. Very happy with this over-all.

I'm using an outer orbit 3x250 MH's with 8x39 T-5's and 24 night LED's (12 white and 12 blue) on my 180. It's one of the nicest fixtures I've had and comes complete with fans and timers. I tryed just T-5's but I really love the shimmer of MH's.
