Hydor Koralia big problem

purchased two Hydor Koralia pumps last week, tonight I was placing some corals in the tank and I was getting shocked. I unpluged the pumps and the current went away. These are not great quality but they shouldn't do that....Anyone else have a problem? I will call the Co. in the AM..not nice

Just go ahead and contact them. I bought two 1s so I'm not affected, but I've heard really nice things about how they're dealing with the problem and the service people are getting from them.

I've got two #3s and have not had the slightest problem. Premium Aquatics never got the recall notice (and yes, Jeremy knows about it), so their Koralias must not have been defective.

This is also a good reason to use GFCIs on your tanks... better a blown breaker that a fried brain.

I went though the same thing with Phishy Buisness, they thought theirs weren't effected.
I spoke with Frank at Hydor and ALL of the 2 and 3s had the possibility of having the defect. Frank gave me two 4s to replace the 2s I bought. I had no problems from mine either but I wanted to be safe.

WOW, I wanted to buy two Koralia but finally I choosed Tunze Nanostream 6045 because the magnet to fix it to the glass did not have enough force (my tank is 12mm thickness).

Glad you're ok!
