911 - bulk head problems

Thanks for your time.

Is there a stock plumbing part that can thread on to the outside of a 1" slip bulkhead? I need something to thread onto the threads that the bulkheadnut threads on to.

The existing bulk head has a plumbing part cemented into the bulkhead. I cut it off thinking that I could thread a 1.25" pvc adapter onto it, but it doesn't seem to fit - its VERY close but it wont thread.

Tank is down until I get this resolved.

Please help.

Take the bulk head off and bring It over HD or LOWS and match It up.

Extrenal threads on a bulkhead are not standard pipe thread. Bulkheads are designed to use the internal threads or slip size only. The threads are not tapered like PVC fittings are, they are not a standard 1", 1.25", 1.5" or 2" and they may or may not have the same thread count. All manufacturers have their own sizes and threads so they are not even standard from one to the other. The exterior threads are designed to screw the retaining nut on only and for nothing else.
