Alrighty,
I'm back again. Went to Magnetic Island on Saturday. The weather was great, thankfully, but the vis was not so good.
Magnetic island is a fairly close reef, so there is never really brilliant vis, but that's what the outer reefs are for.

Anyway, here are some shots from the trip, enjoy!

This is my friend Jamie at our snorkelling site, looks nice doesn't it?

More coming soon.....

And now for some tank shots!

Some mushrooms,

A purple, and a green staghorn, with a pesky wild caught black and white occelaris getting in on the photo.

You can see the coral beauty and the 3 stooges (chromis) in here.

more on the way...

Thanks again! Those corals in your tank look great! Quite a nice tank, I'd say .

Have you gone back to the spot where Bluey lives?

Thanks for all the compliments guys, the weather's been a little iffy lately, so the reef trip will be in a week or two just to make sure the water's cleared up. I'll see if i can dig out some more pics in the meantime.
Stay tuned.

ok, time for an update.

Things are good up here, but my camera has an issue with the batteries (liIon rechargable canon) it has. Anyway, that shouldn't be an issue by the time i get out to the reef again.

Stinger season has now ended officially, so there will be much more activity in the near future.
There will be some pics up from a recent trip to Lord Howe Island off the coast of New South Wales. Those of you who know about Lord Howe will know how special it is.
Those wide banded clowns that are so incredibly rare in the reefing buisness are EVERYWHERE out there, then again they are an endemic species restricted to Lord Howe.
Anyway, the photos should be ready to be uploaded by about the middle of next week at the latest.
Stay Tuned!

Oh, and thanks again everyone for the comments

Time for an update i think, so here's some more photos.
New additions to the tank include a rather large GBTA that is recovering from it's stint in the LFS, but is doing quite well.

More photos soon!

These are a few teaser photos from Lord Howe Island until i get them all sorted out:

Green Turtle in the shallows.

McCullochs Clownfish (endemic to Lord Howe Island)

Some peckish silver drummer looking for their daily ration of bread.

LHI Lagoon

Some lurking heavyweights, the spangled emperors and kingfish are hand fed at the beach.

The whole lot will be up in the near future, so stay tuned.
