Question New plate coral, ???'s

I just got my first plate coral today. I will take a picture tomorrow and post it. It is a very small one, probably 1" in diameter, I got it off of an old colony that was dropping babies.

I was wondering if I need to feed it regularly, and if so, what? If there's anything else I should know, please feel free to tell me.

Right now it is sitting on my sand, and is about 3-5" away from the surrounding corals.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The sand bed is the correct placement for it. I would move it to an area with more room or move the other corals as some sweeper tenicals can be pretty long. I liked to spot feed mine in the past cyclopeeze. It was a long tenical plate which requires alot more care IMO and it flurished.
