Hello, Little Friend.
Nice choice. Active and gregarious. "proxymoron" I'm crying. Too funny.

bubbletip,
Butch is probably about the size of a golf ball. If you've ever seen typical full-grown Caulastrea polyps, that is what the 2 polyps in the upper left are. He is [u]small[/i]. Eats like a pig though....fat belly all the time. He was a little scared at first, but now he's got that perpetual "tang bounce" as he grazes. Meg, The tank is somewhat new (been up for a month), so I'm assuming it's catching up with the end of the initial new tank phase. There was no real cycle - all the rock was from my old 90. I did have diatoms though and I'm sure a little die-off occurred. I decided on only a 2" sandbed as well (90% Southdown, 10% CC), but as you can see, there doesn't appear to be any significant compromise of Nitrogen processing without the official DSB. We'll see how it looks in a year, though...(fingers crossed).
