Krylon Fussion has been determined to be reef safe after it has cured. Excellent paint for plastics.

you should be safe with any spray paint that bonds to plastic. Just make sure you let it dry overnight.

okay thanks, how long do you think it should sit out to dry, 24 hours, or more?

or you could use acetone to clean it to a nice clean white and let it sit till it dries. Then there are no worries about long term adhesion.

You could also order black PVC fittings/pipe from savko.com.
