Here are a couple of cases of my vinyl LP record albums. I'm always looking for more on ebay, in thrift shops, record stores, etc.

Sounds like maybe an M1 Carbine which is a scaled down version of the M1 Garands pictured above. It shoots a pleasant little cartridge that's somewhat similar to a .38Spl/.357Mag. They used a 20/30 rd detachable magazine and also came in paratrooper (folding stock) and fully auto flavors. It saw service in WWII-Vietnam in the hands of NCOs and officers.

The M1 Garand (standard issue in WWII and Korea) is fed by stuffing an 8rd clip of 30-06 into the top. The top one is a sniper conversion, but they never saw much use--more of a curiosity than anything else. The M1903A4 (a bolt action Springfield w/ scope--i.e. sniper in Saving Private Ryan) was much more commonly used in that role.

The gvmt had several huge rebuild programs after both WWII and Korea--most of the M1's got refurbished then. I didn't really do much to them other then clean up the wood a bit.

They're a hoot to shoot.
Ty

As a matter of fact my dad made this for me over the winter, and I need to get it painted... http://www.runnerduck.com/teapot_birdhouse.htm The hubby just carried it up to the garage from the basement for me to start painting it tomorrow!!! Thanks for the nudge to get this project finished ... Maybe in the morning after my walk I'll get the base coat on it...
