DE Bulb Question
I need to replace my bulbs and I looked at one of the bulb and it says Giesemann 250W DE Coral. My question is are these HQI if it doesn't say HQI? I can't find a lot of info on this bulb on thier website.

All DE bulbs are HQI bulbs. If I remember correctly the Giesmann "coral" bulb is their 20K.

Some popular options are Phoenix 14k (blue bulbs good growth) or XM 10k (nice clean white, very good growth).
The type of bulbs u get I guess depend on if you have actinics... I know when I had Phoenix + Actinics it was super blue. |

jjjimmy is right, all DE bulbs can be driven by HQI ballasts. I run the Geisseman "Coral" bulb on SLS HQI ballasts. It is their 14.5K bulb (same bulb as the Ushio 14K). On HQI ballasts it burns very white, almost like a 10K bulb.
The Geisseman "Blue" is their 20K bulb (I haven't tried this one yet).
