Corraline Algae Flaking

Anyone have coralline algae start to become too thick on the back wall or overflows then start to flake off? I have an SPS tank all looks great and corallin continues to grow in areas where I normally clean. However, on the back wall it is starting to fall of in chunks????

Mine does that from time to time--it doesn't come off in chunks, but kind of peels like sunburn. Usually it grows back though. Have you changed your lighting or water parametes lately?
