ive had it running for 2 days and all im getting is tea/green like water will that change with time or do i have to adjust

Did you get that ball valve yet? If you did you could adjust it to skimming real dry and get nothing but foam in the collection cup.

It'll change with time as thats just the skimmer breaking in.

ive had it for about a week and im getting a lot of light green water so i opened the valve a bit more so there werent as many bubbles comming into the collection cup was that the right thing to do or should i have just left it alone

You mean you lowered the water level in it? So the foam in the neck went down?

yes i was getting like almost a gallon of light green water a day so i brought the water level down a bit hoping that the liquid i was getting would darken more and i wouldnt get so much water in it

Yep, thats what you do to get it to skim dryer. If you look at my skimmate and where the bubble break is, thats a good way to judge it. Here's where i keep my water level. about halfway up the b in the bermuda sticker.

i dont think i can get my water lever that low. even with the guage all the way open, the pump on it is about 600 gallons an hour is that okay

The one i'm using is over 900gph. Is the clear wheel all the way open so the water is as low as it goes in the skimmer reaction chamber? And fwiw it took a good month for my skimmer to break in as it wasn't this low until the last week or so.

I got water that was dirty when i started, then got light brown tea and now what you see is what you get. I don't know if it will get darker than it is now for me, but may.
