where to put the PH probe in tank

I want to know which is the best place to hang the PH probe for SMS120 . In the main tank, Sump or in the overflow in the main tank.
Does the probe need to be submerged all the time . what if it exposed to the Air for few minutes. do it need a recalibration.

tagging along here, my ac jr will be here in a couple days and i don't know where to put my ph and temp probes.

Make a holder for it in the sump.

It will work anywhere as long as it is submerged. You can move them out of the water for a few seconds without messing up the calibration IME. If it is going to be more than a few seconds use a glass of water to move them in

Keep it in an area of high waterflow/turnover and you're fine.

Needs to be dark. If not, algae will grow on the sensor, and mess up your readings.

Can i just hang in the built in overflow boxes in the main tank.
that area always has water in it.

for calibration I have 7.01PH & 10.01 Ph solution. Once calibrated should I just move in the sump or tank without exposing to AIr.
