Rasing salinity?

Trying to raise my salintiy to 1.025 (currently at 1.022) it is a 135 with softies, if I do a water change of say 30gal at 1.025 will that be enough to any change at all?? I know you dont want to raise it too fast. Anyone got any suggestions??

Just add some salt to your top off water.

I agree that topping off with salt water until it is at your target is the best way.

not automatic but I do have a top off tub in the garage that is plumbed in thru the wall and and there is a switch under the tank, just flip the switch and the sump fills up...........just dont walk away......not that I've ever done that OK so maybe once lol

Adding any salt at all to your top off will bring it up. Just a matter of how fast you want to raise it. Even using 1.010 top off water will eventually bring it up since you're replacing pure evaporation with salt water.

Why not mix some saltwater to 1.025 and just top off with that until you reach 1.025...? that way you raise it slowly at the rate you are evaping.

I was topping off 3-5g a day on my 140g system until i got my ato which i just remembered i am filling up the 32g brute and prolly overflowing by now *curses*

That's a big negative on the salt in the sump...
