Which hermit crab is better?

The ones with the blue legs or the ones with the red legs? Looking to put them in my frag tank.

If I were to add any crabs to my tank then it would have to be the red leg hermits.I just hate seeing one of those hermits wearing one of my snails shell.

No such thing as a good Hermit Crab. They will kill snails for their shells and snails do a much better job of controlling nuisance algae.

If you must put a hermit in there, some suggest scarlett legged are less "disruptive". Depending on the size of your frag tank, you might consider other options like another type of reef-safe crab or possibly a shrimp? Beebe!

I agree, scarlet hermits are the least aggressive. Blues are just about the worst.
