lol...well, the ones i took last night...lets just say photography is not my strong point, LOL, and it is only on my empty QT tank so it is pulling skimmate but not a bunch...so far so good. I should have my new sump finished today or tomorrow so then i can really crank it up.

oh... My bad... I am very interested in these and the ORCA's because of the custom angle. I really need to learn how to build skimmers... I think a guy can make some good money building cheap skimmers that work like people want them to... It is very appealing to be able to get one like you want it!!!

There very easy to make imo. Its just hard to make them cheap. If you use extruded acrylic, its much cheaper, but of low quality. If you use cast acrylic, its very durable but not so cheap. Or you could just get some cheap pvc pipe at lowes and make you a very very cheap skimmer that works well.....but will look ugly! lol My concern is if these skimmers are extruded acrylic or cast? For a skimmer this size, it won't matter imo, but for the skimmers tht are 10-12" diameter, i would only use cast.

I'm considering one of these on eBay myself, and really really really want to see some pics and hear some feedback after its been put in sump on a running tank. Anybody have any experience with these? Chad, what do you think?

here are a few pics from the skimmer. This after only a few days skimming in my QT tank that has zero fish in there for the last month. The skimmer is doing agood job and the silicone is drying on my new sump as i type, should have some good pics of skimmer in action in the new sump later this week .

How many cups a day is that guy producing for you? You should get a pic in a clear glass so we can see the color as well.
