Urchin "waste"? "eggs"?

Hi Dr. Ron,
My pink urchin "spit out" some brown pellets. They almost look like food pellets. It only took him a few seconds and they seemed to come from the top of him, although I'm not sure. Is it just Urchin waste?

Thanks,
Hemmie

I think they are waste, because when my urchins do that, it can be a different color depending on what they have been grazing on.

Hi Hemmie,

[thanks] to the other folks, you know what you are seeing is urchin poop.

Now, to get more than one urchin you will need at least one of each gender as well, spawning together in your tank.

Why?

They are broadcast spawners and simply spray the gametes into the water.
