i like the first week so far... there was a kid at lunch sleeping in a bush in the court yard. People hid his bookbag, and tossed food on him, it was hilarious!

dude! no way! I was there all day but I didn't run into you at all. Damn it was crowded though...when I went like 2 weeks ago it was so much better. Did you do the new ride? Dragon's Den?

Cool! Yeah, it was packed. I did go on the new ride, at the cost of 1.5 hours of my life. Long wait, but worth it. Sort of. The wait was made harder by the announcement. I memorized it and could recite it on cue. I, um, had a bad experience in the wave pool. I was out there, in the deep end, and the waves were coming. Something stuck to me from the waves, and I thought it was a leaf or something. IT WAS A DIAPER. Must I say more?

Ok, update on the reef.

My parents said there is absolutely no way I'm converting my 55 to a reef, because my massive Severum can't go anywhere else and they love him. HOWEVER, we did strike a deal, which really only benefits me.
1. My parents get to redo my room
2. I must get rid of one tank
3. I can set up a brand new reef tank
For renovations, they'll take down my loft bed and rip up my carpet. I'll get a tile floor and a center drain. Hell yeah!

Fir the tank to get rid of, I'm going to mooe the current residents into my 55. Simple. BUT, now there's a 32" space between my reef and the wall. So, I'll move my 20g long FW plant/apisto tank next to my reef, and then I'll have room for a 40" tank. I'm going to get a 40 breeder (36").

Now it gets good. I'm not going to have to buy a new light!

I have decided to do my reef like an atoll: a rock pile in the center, sand on the sides.

Currently, my lighting situation is as follows:
55g fw: 2 flo lights
15g sw: halide
20g fw: 2 bulb pc (only keep 1 on)
40g fw: 1 flo light
Closet: 1 bulb pc

I am going to put the 1 bulb pc over the 20g fw, and cycle the new reef with the 2 bulb pc. Then, once cycled, I will move the 2 bulb pc to the 15 and move all of my corals to the new reef, along with the halide.

I have sand. I don't need to worry about light. I have salt. I just need rock. Liana, weren't you selling some rock earlier? In the vague depths of my memory I can recall this. If it is still; availiable, name the price.

i enetered my photo in the RDO monthly photo contest, which this month just so happens to be the wide subject of invertebrates. i dont think ill win though. there is a closeup of a clam mantle that is really something else. what is the highest temperature a tank can go to? it will have sps, and i was thinking about how in the wild, it easily gets up to 90 degrees at certain times of the year. my tank, with 4 X 36W PC's a fan running, and a 250W MH alll day brought the temp up to 86F. i was scared, but there are only hermits and snails in there right now though. i will probably put a fan in and once i get my timers sorted out the MH will only be on for 6 hours, the daylights will be on for 10 hours, and the actinics will be on for 12. i think that should bring the temp down to the low 80's and that should be fine. also, i put in a floating thermometer to test against my little time and temp, which isn't always right on. i will check it tomorrow and also get another thermometer. buenas noches, good night, bon (swah, however thats spelled), guten nacht, lila tov (or however you spell it. its hebrew.)
