Mike is back from vacation and clueless...

There's been some interesting anenome relationships?

Seems like everybody is getting cool expensive new corals and I'm jealous.

I think I will have 250watt 14k's on my tank too?

Everybody is jealous of Josh b/c his girlfriend is a hot reefer chick?

please, somebody lmk if i'm missing anything...

I am converting my 55 into a reef. He. He. He.

My 15 is infested with caulerpa, so I will turn it into a seahorse tank and hook it up inline.

Mike I told you to do that ages ago, b/c then you could get the 4' light that I want...remember? I'm so taking credit for that idea...LOL

I'm turning my 15 gallon community into a seahorse tank too, after my 72 actually looks like a reef tank. Just something to dream about...

Damn, it was your idea. Sort of. Now I can't feel cool about coming up with the idea.

So, we'll be having the same lights on our reefs which are both hooked inline with 15g seahorse tanks? Reef clones. Actually, wait. You say the light fits on a 75? If so, I might as well just copy you completely. More water volume = more stability and more corals.

55's are a lot shallower than 75s/72s, I'm not even sure I'd put the same lights on both, even though they're all 4' long. I guess you could, since there isn't really such thing as too much light, just a point where more wont help.

*wonders how you're going to convince your parents to set up a 75* To copy me completely you'd have to go bowfront. Though, it seems like an awful lot of new members are doing "my" tank set up...read up in the LIRA forum.

And my seahorse tank will be in my bedroom, whereas my reef tank is in the den, so not clones, just similar. :P lol

Bleh. I hate bowfronts. I like shallow tanks. I think I'll stay with a 55. Your lights... are they halides or compacts?

Dual 250 watt MH's with T5's. You remember, the 48" aquamedic fixture?

FINALLY you upgrade. I knew this would come some day.

I must caution you guys - 15 gals is a bit too small for seahorses, IMHO; they seem cramped in my 20 high, which is why I'm moving them to the 46. No, they are not the most active fish, but this is just from my observations. I'm not trying to discourage either of you at all - just letting you know my experience.

Okay, back to my paper...

Am I really that predictable? I was quite happy with the ol' 15, but the caulerpa ruined it. So, I'll make it into a clam/softie/macro/sh tank, though I may have to reconsider. I'd hate to put the horses in a poor environment. Ideas are welcome.

Ah, yes, I thought for a second you were doing the Orbit fixture. This might cost me a pretty penny. I was thinking the Aqualight Pro with moonlights, actinics, and halides, each with its own power cord = fun with timers.

Perhaps I shall start a thread.

What were those nudis that ate caulerpa? Why don't you get some of them and do something you might actually like with it?

I had one. He did not impact it sufficiently. Try finding a number of them. Impossible would be a good word to describe what it would be like.
