Flame Angel Eating Habits

I purchased a Flame Angel about 24 hours ago. After proper acclimation, I released him into my display tank. While he seems to graze on the green algae on my live rock, he refuses to eat any prepared foods for herbavores. It doesn't seem to matter what kind: frozen, flake, or pellet.

Is this normal?

Is there some food that I can entice him into eating:

Current tank parameters are below:
PH 8.14
Temp 76.3
S.G. 1.024
Alk 3.50 Meq/l
D.O. 7.2 ppm
NH3-N: 0.001ppm
NO2: 0.0ppm
NO3 : 9.8ppm
PO4: 0.0ppm
SiO2: 0.0ppm

45G FOWLR
6" DSB
37 LBS live Fiji Rock

Tank Mates:
1 False Percula Clown
1 Sixline Wrasse
1 Yellow Tailed Blue Damsel
1 Pseudochromis Fridmani
1 Stenopus Hispidus
1 Lysmata Debelius

He might just need a little more time, I have a flame and he eats all three of those foods.

When i bought my flame angel it took 3 days for it to start eating prepared foods. It was the spirolina flake that it started eating first, now it eats everything

Yes, mine spend much time picking at the live rock. After a few days he learned from the other fish. Now he eats almost everything.

Try a veggie clip with some nori... that's my flame's preferred food by far, although frozen brine and mysis are also eagerly devoured.

I too have a flame angel. However, it is not eating any of the prepared flakes that I have purchased. I've tried the veggie clip, with no luck. It doesn't seem to like the frozen foods either. Any other suggestions? She seems to be getting some kind of white flakes around her eyes. Not sure what that's about either...

Was he eating in the store? If so, what? I make sure fish I'm interested in purchasing eat in the store prior to purchase.
