Enter Exquisite Wrasse .... Exit 6-line Wrasse
I added an Equisite Wrasse this past Tuesday. My pair of False Perculas, Purple Firefish, Bluegreen Chromis, Yellow Watchman Goby, and Jawfish had no issues with the addition. Unfortunately my 6-line wrasse wasn't thrilled when I added the Exquisite Wrasse. The 6-line would ocassionaly back the Exquisite back into the corner, but this seemed to tame down after a day.
Well, I noticed yesterday that my 6-line was nowhere to be found. I really doubt he's hiding, but I can't find a trace of him anywhere! Do people think the Exquisite stressed the 6-line to death or maybe there was a show-down when the lights went out? Thanks much!

I'd check the overflow and the floor... usually wrasse will jump somehwhere before the showdown results in death...

Unfortunately, thanks Copps. I had looked and looked, but one more review of the surrounding area and I located him on the floor behind the tank. I gave him the proper 1 flush salute.
In all seriousness, I tried to read as much as possible prior to the purchase and didn't see any real issues with adding the Exquisite Wrasse to my tank that already had a 6-line wrasse. Would it be a bad decision to try and add a new 6-line sometime in the future? I have also been eyeing a Midas Blenny. I know they are 2 completely different things, but I feel I am close to the limit for my tank in regards to fish. So, any thoughts on a Midas Blenny versus a "replacement" 6-line Wrasse? Thanks.

I'd stay away from the sixline if I were you... many have problems including myself with new additions added to a sixline tank... check this thread. So in that case I'd go with the blenny. You may want to secure the tank from jumpers, as many fish over time end up on that floor that wouldn't typically be considered jumpers... also to protect the remaining wrasse you have...
Hope that helps... John

Fairy's bing out the WORST in 6-lines.
If you have wrasses you NEED to cover the tank with soemthing. Many ue egg crate light difusers, but some Fish can fit through, and that is why I recommend Needle Point plastic mesh that can be bought at the crafts store. it comes in various size mesh, but most is smaller that 1/4"

My six line is the biggest bully in the tank. I tried adding a Carpenters flasher wrasse and all he did was pin it in the corner. Now he picks on my blue mandarin and scooter blennny. I wish he would jump into another tank!
